Meet Your Community Leaders Saturday
When it comes to the community, there are many things we want to happen, especially when it comes time to elect someone into a political position. We want to make sure this individual is going to be our voice. We want someone who is going to alert us of wrongdoing and things that are not beneficial for us.
If you have voted, thought about voting, or will be voting in any upcoming elections, this Saturday, you are going to have the opportunity to speak to some of the candidates you help put into these positions. On April 17 at the KPC Hall 2526 E. Opelousas Street, you are invited to come out and speak with Councilman Rodney Geyen, Police Juror Mike Smith, Police Juror Eddie Lewis Jr., and Councilwoman Mary Morris.
There will be snacks, music, and more for you to come out and partake in throughout the day. The event is scheduled from 11:00am and 2:00pm and is free to the public. We can always sit back and complain about problems, but let's work on solutions. When you take advantage of the chance and opportunity to speak with your community leaders, you are doing your part. Don't miss it this Saturday.
