According to reports, New Orleans Hip-Hop and Bounce icon 5th Ward Weebie, real name Jerome Cosey, has passed away due to medical complications he suffered after he was hospitalized earlier this week. We send our condolences to the family and friends of the late entertainer, who was a friend to the People's Station 107 Jamz.
New Orleans Hip-Hop and Bounce legend, Hot Boy Ronald, took to Instagram earlier this week to give an update as to what 5th Ward Weebie was facing in terms of his recovery. Many notable entertainers like Mannie Fresh, Cupid, Hot Boy Turk, and many more have since taken to social media with personal photos and condolences to their late friend.
Another notable New Orleans hip-hop and bounce artist, P Town Moe, also took to Instagram with a message about what led up to the untimely death of his long-time friend and collaborator, citing high blood pressure and not taking medicine as the cause of Weebie's health issues.
