NOLA PD Make Arrest In Young Greatness Murder – Tha Wire
Today in Tha Wire NOLA.com reports New Orleans police have finally arrested one of two suspects for the 2018 murder of rap star Young Greatness. Donald Reaux was taken into custody Wednesday morning this week. According to online records, the 38-year old was arrested for interfering with their investigation into the 2018 murder. The N.O. rapper whose real name was, Theodore Jones, was shot to death outside a New Orleans Waffle House on October 29, 2018.
Greatness was a rising star and was looking forward to making it to the top of the rap game. He put out several mixtapes, but success didn't come until he got signed. The Nola rapper got a record deal with Quality Control Music in 2015 and dropped the single Moolah featuring Jazze Pha the same year. Below he talked with VLAD TV about his career, his background, and what he wanted to do.
NOLA.com is reporting Orleans police were looking for two suspects in the rapper's killing, and believe Reaux is one of them. Though authorities didn't disclose exactly how he interfered with the case, they're sure he was involved in the murder. Meanwhile, New Orleans police released video surveillance of the alleged suspect number two, and are hoping the images can lead to his capture soon. The footage below was released by authorities last Friday, January 11, according to HipHopDX.
As for Reaux, records show he was charged with obstruction of justice, conspiracy to obstruct justice and accessory to second-degree murder. RIP Young Greatness...he was 34. Our condolences to his family and friends.
