Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week

The Christmas Holiday is almost here and the folks at Samaritan's Purse are working overtime, collecting "Shoebox Gifts," for poor children around the world. The national collection week is in progress, November 12 - 19, 2018. The reason for the season is to spread the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and celebrate his birth by doing his will. This is the perfect opportunity to show your children the importance of loving their neighbor and helping those in need.

If you need a Showbox we have plenty here at the 107 Jamz studio, 900 N. Lakeshore Drive. Just stop by Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm and request one. You can also use any shoebox in your closet, or pick one up a shoebox/boxes at any local Operation Christmas Child drop-off site. Operation Christmas Child is an annual charitable event sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, a Christian organization that provides spiritual and physical aid to the poor around the world. Promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ, they deliver "Shoebox Gifts" filled with items for children in need, who otherwise wouldn't get anything for Christmas. Each shoebox has a bible, in the native language or it's origin, placed inside to teach children about who Jesus Christ is and what Christmas is all about. National collection week is going on now.
