Pitbull Stands Up for Miami on Lil Wayne Diss Track ‘Welcome 2 Dade County’
Pitbull is reminding Lil Wayne that he bleeds Miami and Dade County and therefore he's not tolerating any slander towards his city.
The Cuban rapper has just released 'Welcome 2 Dade County,' a new diss track aimed at Weezy, who spewed a mouthful of f-bombs at the city of Miami and the Miami Heat earlier this month -- the Young Money rhymer said he was thrown out of an NBA game for rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Pit, a Miami native, takes Baauer's 'Harlem Shake' and goes to work -- we know, you're almost tired of hearing that beat by now. But this one is at least worth one listen for the shock factor.
He doesn't say Wayne's name directly but we're absolutely sure he's talking about him. "This a deposition, watch what you speak / Who's the definition of Miami? Me," he raps. "You got money yeah, yeah that's sweet / But we both know Slim and Baby really eat."
The 'Planet Pit' creator also shows off his bilingual tongue with a rant that starts off in English then finishes in Spanish. “I bleed Miami 305 Dade County / So when we show love to those that get their city destroyed by a hurricane and then they come down here…”
Lil Wayne did apologize last week on 99 JAMZ to the city of Miami and said he appreciates his second home. “I got the best skate weather, ever, down her," he explained. "Like I said, the main thing I really want to get out there is that I do apologize for the misunderstanding to the city of Miami. I love everyone here, it’s just I’m passionate about sports and I felt very disrespected, that’s all. I felt very, very disrespected.”
There's two sides to a story.
