Rapper The Game Helps Teen Fund His Dream to Pilot Around the World
Rapper The Game’s humanitarian efforts have been in full force lately, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
The Compton bred rapper is helping an African-American teen become the youngest person to fly solo around the globe. 16-year-old Isaiah Cooper is hoping to raise $45,000 to fund his flight around the world, and the Game has already donated $1,000, and asked his Instagram followers to contribute with a donation. Check out his post below.
Cooper, who is also from Compton, California, attends the Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum aviation youth program (TAM); he has since he was 5 years old. The message below is from the young pilots personal GoFundMe account.
“As I got older, I began hanging with the wrong crowd, doing seriously self destructive things." Realizing that this was not how I wanted to live my life, I returned to TAM. My main goal is to become a productive young man with a future in aviation, and not a statistic. On Monday, July 18th I became the youngest African American to pilot an airplane around the continental United States. I flew from Compton to Maine, to Washington, to Florida and back to Compton, California. This epic journey gave me the experience necessary to achieve my ultimate goal to be the youngest person to fly solo around the world at age 18.
He’s since received congratulatory shout outs from actor Jamie Foxx, as he also received a certificate of achievement from the City of Compton.
Game also donated money for a police officer in Arkansas this month, as well as two young fans struggling to pay for their mother’s funeral. Let’s applaud his efforts to make a difference in the world, because being a "gangster rapper" doesn’t mean they don’t care.
