T.I. can be added to the growing list of celebrities who've spoken on Travis Scott's decision to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl. He addressed the matter when TMZ cameras caught up with him in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (Jan. 23). While he doesn't come right out bash Scott for his decision, he does say he hopes his former Grand Hustle Records artist is more selfless going forward.

"I think every man has an opportunity where he could make a decision for himself or he could be selfless," T.I. began. "And nobody can tell someone when to be selfless. That's every man's right to choose that moment for themselves. So if this ain't something that he wanted to be selfless about, hopefully in the future we'll see other moments where he will. You dig?"

Travis Scott's decision to perform has been met with controversy since it was announced. If you recall, Kaepernick used to play for the San Francisco 49ers, and toward the end of his stint, he began kneeling during the playing of the national anthem. The move was one people believed to be designed to draw attention to the Black Lives Matter movement. When his stint with the 49ers ended, he was unable to find a job as a starting QB, and people believe that to be the result of a systemic effort to keep Kaepernick out of the NFL.

In the months that passed during Kaepernick's perceived banishment from the NFL, several artists reportedly turned down the chance to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. That's the backdrop of Scott's decision, which is one he says he came to only after the NFL agreed to donate $500,000 to social justice organization to the non-profit social-justice organization, Dream Corps.
