Move over "Flavor Of Love", here comes Shorty Lo, his 11 children, 10 baby mamas and girlfriend.  As previously reported, with the anticipation of rapper Shortly Lo's "All My Babies Mama's" coming to TV it has become clear that reality TV has reached a new low.

The show is based on the fact that the rapper and founder of the group D4L has 11 children with 10 women.  If that's not enough, several of the woman and children live with him and his new girlfriend.  By the way the girlfriend, 19, is in the same age group with 4 of his children, two of which are girls who are the same age and not twins.

Seeing is believing, here's a look a the trailer for the show.

Given the very sad reality of the show, a lot of people feel it's not something to be proud about.  As a matter of fact, thousands of people are protesting the show being launched on Oxygen TV to keep it from airing.

The petitions creator, Sabrina Lamb wrote, “By pushing these degrading images, your company seeks to profit from the humiliation of girls and women and the blatant stereotyping of African-Americans.  We think Oxygen and the show’s creators and producers have gone too far and if this show is aired, we will, without hesitation, boycott any and all companies that advertise during this minstrel show.”

The entire petition is located on Change.org if you want more info.  Meanwhile, the show has spark mixed reactions on the Internet as well.  An editorial on TheRoot.com (a Washington Post company) blasted the show, while another on Clutch Magazine urged African-Americans to stop “owning” the racist television shows.

But is this show really racist or just in very bad taste?  After all there are other shows on TV that are just as bad starring all white people such as "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" on TLC, "Duck Dynasty" on A&E, Discovery Channels "Moonshiners", Hillbilly Handfishin on Animal Planet and "Swamp People" on the History Channel.

What are your thoughts?  Are you going to sign the petition?

“All My Babies’ Mamas” is slated to debut this Spring.
