Vic Mensa Believes Jay-Z Will Get Colin Kaepernick Back Into NFL

Roc Nation's Vic Mensa has chimed in with his thoughts regarding Jay-Z's partnership with the NFL.

On Monday (Aug. 19), TMZ posted a video interview with the Chicago rapper. In it, Vic makes it clear that he supports both Hov's NFL partnership and Colin Kaepernick's kneeling protest.

"I think if anybody deserves to a chance to cook, it's Hov," Vic says. "All the goodwill that he's put in the community...we gotta let him do his thing. And I completely support Kaepernick."

Vic thinks that Jay will bring Kaepernick into the NFL if, in fact, the rapper does become a part team owner.

"I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn't get a job with Hov being in the NFL," Vic says. "We know the NFL is a slave game, so to have a Black man in there...especially a Black man with a socially conscious responsibility, cause I know that's how Hov feels, man...I believe that Kaep gonna get that job and I believe that Hov's intentions are in the right place."

When the reporter asks Vic if he thinks Hov will "put [Kaepernick] on," Vic dismisses the idea that anything Hov would give the rapper a handout. He does, however, say he thinks Hov will do his part to help out Kaepernick. "I support Hov and I believe that he's gonna make it happen."

Vic isn't the only rapper in Jay's corner. Freddie Gibbs jumped on his Instagram Story and was very blunt with his feelings about the Jay-Z-Colin Kaepernick-NFL situation.

"I'm riding with Jay-Z, straight up. Fuck Colin Kaepernick," he said. "All y'all niggas marched for Colin Kaepernick and he took a settlement and ain't tell y'all what he got or nothing. He settled. Let it go. Y'all hating on Jay-Z for tryna own something in the NFL. Y'all niggas some muthafuckin' crabs."
