While I took a little time off, I had the opportunity to check out the world famous Stankonia Studios. This is the home of the great Hip Hop collective known as Outkast, who named their fourth album Stankonia when it was released almost twenty years ago. The album featured some of their biggest hits like B.O.B., Ms. Jackson, and So Fresh, So Clean.

Many producers and artists use this studio as their outlet to release and create new music. I had the pleasure of going to the studio, and I am still pinching myself that I was there. What made it even more special was that my son was with me, and he had the opportunity to perform on stage for a New Music feature that is done weekly by The Coalition DJs.

Having the chance to see my son on stage and networking with other artists and DJs allowed me to really see the ins and outs of the business. It also really made me realize how proud I was to see my son on stage in his element. I didn't get the chance to check out the entire studio, but having the chance to say I was there and able to walk the same halls as Outkast, Jazze Pha, and others is something to brag about.

I want to give a huge thank you to The Coalition DJs for welcoming us out and allowing us to get on stage and wreck the show. Big kudos to my son, Knorii, whose latest body of work is available for streaming or downloading now. Make sure you go and check out that Dark Deceptions album. I can honestly say he is really kicking what I like to call reality raps for the culture. I am proud of what he is bringing to the table, and I am excited about the future.
