Westlake High To Perform ‘Beauty And The Beast’ This November
The students of Westlake Lake High school are getting ready for a very special theatrical presentation. Just in time for the holidays on November 17, 2022, some very talented students will bring the timeless Disney fairytale, “Beauty and the Beast” alive at the school theater (1000 Garden Drive in Westlake.)
This whimsical performance will be based on the popular animated movie/musical that captured our hearts. Show your support for our local aspiring actors and actresses, tickets are only $10 per person. and can be purchased at the Westlake Hight theatre box office. The “Beauty and the Beast” production will take place Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at 7 pm.
Much like the lyrics to the movie's theme song, 'Beauty and The Beast' performed by Celine Dione and Peabo Bryson, the tale really is as old as time. Believe it or not, the actual story came from a novel written in 1740 by French novelist Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve! Her fairytale became famous 251 years after the book was published when Disney brought the animated film to theaters in 1991.
