
7 Days Of Juneteenth Freedom Festival Comes To Lake Charles
SWLA Center for Health Services presents the 7 Days of Juneteenth Freedom Festival beginning on June 13th with the opening ceremony Black Excellence Awards. Here is a lineup of other events for the remainder of the week.
June 14th- Kuwanis Jam in June Juke Joint at Boutte's
June 15th- Free Dental Day, The Freedom Festival which will feature music and entertainment throughout the day. The KPC Parade and the Cotton Club at Zephyrs.
June 16th- Father's Day Family Festival Unity Bike Ride
June 17th- Black Women's Health Fay Unity Zydeco Aerobics Unity Yoga Class
June 18th- Black Men's Health Day Unity Zydeco Aerobics Unity Yoga Class.
June 19th- Grand Finale Closing Ceremony with Fireworks.
There are many cities who celebrate Juneteenth, but not many know the importance of the very significant holiday.
