Chris Brown Settles Lawsuit Against Woman Who Claimed He Assaulted Her
Chris Brown has settled a lawsuit against a woman who accused him, or someone associated with the singer, of assaulting her in a Las Vegas hotel room back in January of 2016.
The alleged victim, a woman named Liziane Gutierrez, claims the singer punched her in the eye at a private New Years Eve party at the Palms Casino Resort, as well as took her cell phone and called her an "old-looking-bitch." Gutierrez later sued for battery, theft, and defamation, which Brown later countersued by filing a defamation lawsuit of his own.
According to TMZ, a settlement was reached on Tuesday, September, with "preliminary talk" stating Gutierrez would receive $70,000, and others stating the "monetary amount agreed upon" was "substantially less."
Not only did Chris Brown deny the allegations, he was never charged with a crime.
