Convicted Sex Offender Arrested Over Repeated Offenses

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office detectives received a complaint pertaining to a convicted sex offender Todd J. Lavergne, Sr 50, from Lake Charles. The complaints came from a 15 year old victim who advised the detectives that the raping had been occurring for approximately two years.

With the most recent being just over a week ago. On yesterday a warrant was issued for Lavergne at the amount of $2.5 million.

Lavergne was currently incarcerated at the Calcasieu Correctional Center on narcotics charges. He was additionally charged with 3rd degree rape and 2 counts of oral sexual battery.
