Convicted sex offender Frederick A. Lemieux, Lake Charles, was arrested on Monday, July 8, after failing to comply with his sex offender registration requirements, said a media release from Kim Myers at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

Detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sex Offender Unit learned Lemieux hadn't registered with law enforcement on eight different occasions. He also did not pay his annual fees, nor did he acquire a sex offender identification card. These offenses put him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.

Lemieux was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with nine counts of failure to register as a sex offender; and failure to comply with sex offender ID requirements. His bond is set at $450,000.

He was convicted in Jefferson Parish back in 1989 on 2 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and two counts of aggravated oral sexual battery. Then in 2013, he was convicted of aggravated sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile, also in Jefferson Parish.
