He’s only been out of prison just over month, and already Gucci Mane could be facing a lawsuit. The lawsuit is in connection to the death of an associate, rapper Slim Dunkin, who was killed back in December 2011, at an Atlanta recording studio.

According to HipHopEnquirer, Slim Dunkin’s father has filed a civil suit against Gucci’s 1017 Brick Squad label, for $11 million dollars, citing they failed to provide adequate security on the set of the music video that Dunkin was set to partake in.

Slim Dunkin was shot in the chest by Vinson Hardiman, a.k.a. Young Vito, at an Atlanta Studio, after an altercation ensued inside the recording booth. Dunkin was taken to a hospital where he later died. The rapper was reportedly shot over a piece of candy.

Hardiman was charged in 2012 with Dunkin’s death, but not for murder, he was convicted of aggravated assault.
