CPSO Makes Three Arrests for Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile
A local man picked up a 14-year-old girl and brought her to his home where he and a second man performed sexual acts with her.
According to a media release, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office learned of the incident on March 23, 2019. The initial investigation proved that Kenneth M. Duplechin, 55, of 1811 Fox Run Drive, in Lake Charles, had picked up the underage girl he just me and brought her to his home where she performed oral sex on him twice. The victim told detectives Duplechin called a friend, Darren S. Gaspard, 54, of 4 Par Drive, in Lake Charles, to come over where he also had "sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old".
The two men were arrested last week on April 11, and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Duplechin is charged with 2 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, his bond is set at $350,000. Gaspard is charged with one (1) count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, his bond is set at $250,000.
In a separate and unrelated incident, a third man was also arrested for carnal knowledge of a juvenile on last week.
According to a separate media release, CPSO deputies answered a call on April 7, in reference to carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Deputies learned Timothy Ancelet, 57, of 120 Lock Street, in Sulphur, had partaken in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl he met on social media. After questioning from detectives, Ancelet admitted to the crime. He told detectives he shared nude photographs with the young girl and had several sexual conversations.
Ancelet was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center the same day and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He was released on a $150,000 bond.
Through further investigation it was discovered that Ancelet was in possession of child pornography, and was arrested again on April 12, and again booked into C.C.C. and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile; and pornography involving juveniles. He was released the following day on a $150,000 bond.
