CPSO Searching for Identity of Vehicle Burglary Suspect

A Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputy responded to a home on Engleside Drive in Lake Charles on Tuesday, July 23, at about 9:00am in reference to a stolen .9mm Beretta from an unlocked truck.

According to a media release from Kayla Vincent, Vehicle Crimes Investigative Unit (VCIU) detectives reviewed surveillance footage from homes in the area showing an unknown man riding a bicycle in the area of Engleside Drive and Woodruff Street that same morning. The suspect was seen attempting to gain access into vehicles between about 2:30am until 3:00am.
