Education is THE most powerful weapon on earth. It's the only key to open the doors of success. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. knew that, which is why he didn't allow segregation and racism keep him from it. The unjust Jim Crow laws of the South, and shameful discrimination was what fueled his desire to educate himself. Dr. King immersed himself in books, and made sure he fed his brain with food no man could take away. His thirst for knowledge, along with years of biblical and religious studies, shaped him into the iconic civil rights leader we honor today.

For those not familiar with The Civil Rights Movement, I encourage you to read-up on it. This will give you a better understanding of what it was about, and what role Dr. King and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) played to change America.

Dr. King's life and legacy deserves our attention and respect. He was a great human being, and champion of peace. We owe a lot of the freedoms we enjoy today to him, and those who fought for our equality and justice. He was stabbed, spat upon, beaten, threatened, jailed and eventually murdered....because he believed in love. He believed that all men were created equal, and was willing to challenge America's integrity.

Dr. King wrote about his life, the reasons he was taking a stand against hate, and struggles that came with this decision, while in prison in the critically acclaimed Letter From Birmingham Jail.

Thank you Dr. King for your tenacity, fearlessness, and unbreakable commitment to MAKE AMERICA GREAT. We will continue your fight, for what's right as we strive for a brighter future, a stronger country, and united America.
