Lake Charles Police announced they have taken four people into custody regarding the incident, though only one was directly charged with murder in the death of 83-year-old Preston John “Pop” LeBlue.

The LCPD arrested John J. “June Bug” Landry, 38, charging him with first-degree murder and simple robbery.  Landry also lived in the same building as LeBlue.

Police also threw Irma Jean Landry, 54, of Kinglsey Street; Sarah Landry Green, 35, of 8th Street, and LaJeanna Marie Thomas, 30 of South Franklin Street into the slammer, charging them all with accessory after the fact.

LeBlue was found in his Chateau du Lac apartment on Thursday, though police did not release any information until a press conference today. LeBlue’s age could make John Landry eligible for the death penalty, according to KPLC.  John Landry had no bond, while the other three suspects had bonds ranging from $250,000 to $650,000.
