Have you been in downtown Lake Charles lately? If you haven't then you have no clue that a ton of geese have taken over the Lake Charles Civic Center grounds and the downtown part of Lake Charles.

Lately, as I drive through downtown Lake Charles, I have seen hundreds of geese. The first place I saw them was on Lakeshore Drive by the veteran's park. None of them are flying either.  They are just walking around in a big pack looking for food.

What is funny is I saw them all cross the street last week from the veteran's park to the Lake Charles Civic Center and stopped traffic while doing so. The radio studio is located on North Lakeshore Drive along I-10 so I drive past the civic center and through downtown Lake Charles every day.

So I have been playing a game by tracking their progress each day and where are they located that day. As I said, I haven't seen any of them taking off and flying so it looks like they are walking or waddling everywhere they go.

So a couple of days ago, I decided to take a few pictures of just how many of these geese are out there. I mean I didn't count them individually but there have to be at least 1000 of them traveling in one pack.

So if you are going to be in downtown Lake Charles anytime soon, look for the gaggle of geese waddling around the area. Oh, and by the way, all you Cajun boys and girls who like to hunt, this is not your chance to go hunting LOL.
