LL Cool J‘s Son Najee Smith Arrested

LL Cool J‘s 26-year old son, Najee Smith, was arrested in New York City, according to AllHipHop. Smith was reportedly arrested and charged with infractions related to trespassing. The younger Smith was allegedly involved in an altercation at a restaurant in New York's Meatpacking District, but there's no word with who or about what.

All that's known at this time is police were called to the scene about 3:15 a.m. because Najee refused to leave the premises and after a brief investigation, he was apprehended and handcuffed. Workers at the restaurant told authorities they tried to escort him out, but Smith was resistant.

In other news, rap star Nicki Minaj just locked down a big deal with the ABC Family Network. Hip Hollywood reports the Young Money femcee has secured a new comedy show based on her life in the 90's growing up in Queens.

The 32-year old raptress, revealed the big news on Twitter and announced she is going to produce the new sitcom and looking for a young Nicki. Word has it, she will appear on the show, it's not clear as to whether she'll have a starring role or not.

FYI Nicki has an acting background. Born Onika Tanya Maraj, Nicki was an acting student at the famed LaGuardia High School, before she became a the rap diva she is today. In recent years she's come back to acting scoring a role in The Other Woman, starring Cameron Diaz and Don Johnson. Not to mention a little voiced work in Ice Age: Continental Drift along side her label mate Drake.
