Louisiana Hip-Hop Collectives, Duos, and Groups to Remember
It's been a slow news week, so much that I've been struggling with what to post about. Then, I remembered there was a post I started on earlier in the year but never followed through on completing it, so here we are.
Louisiana has its share of rappers, but one thing we hardly discuss is hip-hop acts made up of multiple members. We know Boosie, Webbie, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Master P, and more as solo acts, but what about those times when they teamed up to make some of the Gulf Coasts most coveted classics to date? What about the acts that started out as groups?
With an honorable mention going out to my homies out of Lafayette, La. A group comprised of platinum producer Mr. Phat, Big Kurt, Duke Dawg, Yung Na, Roll-X, and others, The Home Team, who later became The Hub City Boyz, forever hold a place in my archives.
Let's run down the list that I've alphabetized, and hope I didn't miss any!
