Shots Fired And Arrests Made At The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards — Tha Wire [VIDEO]
I guess it's safe to say that it was an eventful night at the tapping of the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards this year. It all went down in ATL, backstage at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center.
Something must have been in the water or something because there were several confrontations. Most of it involved Rich Ross' Maybach Music squad, Young Jeezy's entourage and 50 Cent's G-Unit crew. Here's some video of the melee:
New York Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex was on the scene and took to Twitter to report what was going on:
Bad Boy artist Gun Play was jumped by members of 50's G-Unit crew and then was massed when after he tried to defend himself. Here's some video from that drama. PARENTS BE ADVISED THIS VIDEO CONTAINS EXPLICIT LANGUAGE:
In light of all the drama, BET issued this statement:
BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past 7 years BET has celebrated the true art form of Hip-Hop. Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place. BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible"
If that's not enough, 50 Cent and Diddy got into it as well! What a crazy night right? Well, I got even more details on what went down. Plus, the good news for the night.
