Be On The Lookout For DWI Checkpoints In Lake Charles Today [PHOTOS]

With the holidays upon us, you should definately be aware of the traffic influx in the area. You should also be aware of the tickets that could potentially be rendered from speeding, drinking or seatbelt violations in the area. I just received this notice of some DWI checkpoints that will be happening today.

The Lake Charles Police Department, in partnership with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, will be conducting a DWI checkpoint on Tuesday December 23, 2014. This is to inform you all to be careful on the roads while traveling today. This is in reference to the “Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over” program that is underway. This checkpoint will take place at an undisclosed location within the city limits of Lake Charles. Be careful out there during the holidays and watch out for oncoming drivers who are doing the same thing you are and that's shopping or trying to get to their destinations.
