Lake Charles Walk Like MADD 2015, Saturday, Oct. 10

On Saturday, October 10, 2015, area members of MADD will take to the pavement along with thousands of people across the country. There will be a 5K walk to end drunk driving on Louisiana roadways, and roadways across the country.

Walk Like MADD Lake Charles will kick off at Prien Lake Park, from 7:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause get more details at their walklikemadd.org site. You can also sign up as a walker, but there’s also an option for virtual walker for those who can’t be there and wish to donate to another walker or team.

I made my donation in the name of a close friend, Jeremy Olivier. Jeremy died in a tragic accident when the SUV he was driving was hit head on by a drunk driver in a pickup truck, in Sulphur, La., on September 27, 2014.
