SPAR water park officials announced they are hoping to allow residents some much overdue fun in the sun. Sulphur is anticipating reopening the city's water park just in time for summer, with a few new COVID safety protocols to include a sanitation procedures.

After a year of being closed due to the pandemic, parks recreational manager, AunJelle Burton, says they are excited to reopen and are currently hiring. So, anyone looking for a fun job this summer, including lifeguards, please apply. Speaking of which, for lifeguard training, click here to apply.

Meanwhile, Burton told the news the water park will start off opening to half capacity. While the state is still in Phase 3 operations, continued social distancing and mask mandates will be implemented in lounge areas. SPAR Water Park was also heavily damaged due to Hurricanes Laura and Delta, but Burton tells the news repairs are underway and though it may be later than usual, the park will open this summer.
