911 Dispatcher Demoted for Holding Calls to Play Video Games
A West Palm Beach, Florida 911 dispatcher is in trouble after an internal investigation discovered he was playing handheld video games while on the job instead of dispatching calls, according to News4Jax.
52-year-old Charles M. Morris has been demoted to dispatcher, from his previous position as training officer at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Back in October Morris reportedly held several calls, including a hit-and-run incident for 40 minutes, and a nine minute hold before he dispatched officers to a shooting.
