Arrest Made in Monday Morning Hit-and-Run Death
Louisiana State Police Troop D made an arrest in the hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Moss Bluff woman Monday morning.
On Monday, November 27, 2017, slightly before 2 a.m., 29-year-old Samantha Marie Broussard of Moss Bluff was struck by a vehicle approximately two miles east of Lake Charles, where she was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by the parish coroner's office.
42-year-old Trevino Clark of Lake Charles was arrested Thursday night, November 28, after the hit-and-run vehicle was reportedly "located in a barn on his property." He has since been booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center with charges of "felony hit-and-run, failure to report a crash, and driving with a suspended driver’s license."
Troop D worked around the clock on this case with assistance from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lake Charles Police Department, and the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
