President Obama Gives Major Props to J. Cole [VIDEO]
President Obama is adding one more rapper to his favs list -- J. Cole.
POTUS is no doubt a fan of hip-hop. He's brushed shoulders with Jay Z and named Kendrick Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost?" as his favorite song of 2015. Now, the President has shared his fandom for Carolina rhymer J. Cole.
"I love J. Cole," said Obama to a crowd as he delivered the keynote address at this year's South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin. "You know, this is the benefit of having teenage daughters is I actually keep up." The President also said that he got a chance to see J. Cole's mom and grandma during the annual festival in Austin, Texas.
And tweeters definitely approve of President Obama's latest words.
And tweeters have taken notice. "Even President Obama recognizes J.Cole's greatness," tweeted one fan of the "Apparently" rapper. "Pesident Obama f*cks with J Cole," read a more expletive tweet from a fan.
The Obamas are hip-hop fans; Michelle Obama is also known for her love of the hip-hop. The FLOTUS released a "Day of the Girl" playlist last year that included Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)." His oldest daughter, Malia, was seen in a Pro Era shirt last year as well.
